Passive Fire Protection

We handle all passive fire protection system installation, servicing, maintenance, inspection, certification, and consultation.

During a fire emergency, passive fire protection is designed to contain flames, toxins, and smoke in specific parts of a building to prevent them from spreading.

A passive fire protection system usually consists of:

  • Structural fire protection

  • Compartmentalisation

  • Firestopping

  • Opening protection

Passive fire protection involves fire resistance measures that prevent the spread of flame and ensure the safe evacuation of the building occupants. Fire doors, fire shutters and dampers are examples of passive fire protection.
